glamour girl

Well hey there loyal followers! Some exciting news (at least I think so) tomorrow is my first day as an intern in the fashion department at Britain's number 1 fashion magazine, Glamour. As far as excitment goes I doubt I'll be getting that much sleep tonight, and breakfast in the morning looks like a massive no-no due to a severe attack of the butterflies.

What is equally as exciting is that I will be giving you outfit updates, intern diarys and maybe even the occasional street style post so be sure to keep your eyes peeled and your laptops at the ready.

killer kloset

Khloe Kardashian has always been my favourite of the reality holy trinity that are the Kardashian sisters and now that I have seen her shoe collection kollection (see what I did there!) I love her even more. I saw these photos a while ago, when Khloe gave Elle magazine a sneak peek into what appears to be a Christian Louboutin museum, however coming across them again today when doing my usual scan of the world wide web allowed me to squeal in awe all over again.

Now, please don't judge me as I know some of you would do the same, but I think I would kill for these. An animal...a whole nation...I kid, I kid.

on the red carpet: olivia palermo

Palermo looked gorgeous as ever at DKNY sunglasses launch on Tuesday night. As a best dressed list regular it is no surprise that Olivia looks effortless working the colour blocking trend on the red carpet. In my opinion Olivia is particularly gifted when it comes to accessorising, she always has incredible bags, shoes and jewellery and every last detail of her look is perfect, I mean look at the stunning berry coloured nail polish she is working. The City villain may be a bit of a bitch but the girl sure has excellent style. Kelly Cutrone recently said in an interview that she wished the final episode of The City had ended with the line "who will kill Olivia?" whoever it may be, I hope they send me her jewellery collection after they do it.

eco trash

Euro trash meets eco friendly in Christian Louboutin's new venture. The Eco Trash collection uses excess fabrics and paper on Louboutin's classic slingbacks to create the new breed of recycling and eco fashion. Because of this no two shoes will be the same, which is something that I really love about the range, but visually the shoes are pretty trashy (pun intended) so I'm not sure how wearable they really are.

highlights from hispania

Barcelona was wonderful. I was only there for a few days but I had a really brilliant time and met some incredible people from all over the world. It is such a beautiful and buzzing city and is as alive at 3am as it is at 11am, I even witnessed someone walking their dog on the beach at 4 in the morning. It was really fabulous and I hope I will be back there soon but next time with a bit more cash so I can take the markets by storm.

Here are some of the highlights of my trip.

fashion?

I am going to Barcelona tomorrow for a little break with my friends so I won't be back on the blog until Wednesday but be sure to tune in then as I am hoping to get some great street style snaps from sunny Spain.

In the mean time I will leave you with a classic piece of...um...you'll see...

This obomination is a video I made with a friend Gareth (the man behind the camera) in the early hours of the morning. It was in my first year of univeristy and its pretty obvious that I was rather intoxicated. I still think it is hilarious though.

colour clash

So, in my previous post I told you to keep an eye out for a little nail experiment inspired by Emma Stone's red carpet look. It was a bit more difficult than anticipated but I am happy with the final look.
I also found a photo of me at my friends 21st birthday in a dress that has the same colour blocking trend as Emma's.

Check out the results...

on the red carpet: emma stone

Hot damn Spiderman! Soon to be seen as Gwen Stacey in the Spiderman reboot, Emma Stone was looking beautiful at the New York premiere of Friends with Benefits on Monday. The recently red haired actress paired her new locks with a red and pink colour block skirt and top combo by Giambattista Valli and finished the look off perfectly with nude Louboutins. I am obsessed with this particular colour clash and I am hoping to attempt something similar with my nails (stay tuned for this!). Emma has always had a very cool and individual sense of style ever since her debut in Superbad, but her red carpet choices have really caught my attention recently. She manages to look fashion forward yet cool and effortless at the same time. She's one to watch.

chanel a/w couture

You're welcome...

When I am old and bitter I hope that my one saving grace will be that I am wealthy enough to wear Chanel. Oh to dream. This years Autumn Winter couture show was outstanding and it seems to act as proof that Karl Lagerfeld is always able to out do himself. For me this show was like Mary Poppins on crack. The matronly tweed suits that made Chanel what it is today got a revamp, courtesy of the oversized shoulders and nipped in waists that created a completely new silhouette, and did i mention the light up shoes!?

I am one of Chanel's biggest fans so it could be argued that I would love it if Karl sent a model down the runway in a bin liner, but as they say the proof is in the pudding so please check out the delights above just incase my incessant Chanel related ramblings weren't enough to convince you.

inches

Today I visited the Shoe Galleries in Selfridges London. Did I mention I love shoes? As Ice T's wife, Coco, said ever so eloquently on her new reality show- "I love my shoes...I wanna f*** 'em".

From pumps to platforms, myself and majority of the female public, salivate over shoes on a daily basis even if we do struggle to walk in them. Today I had the rare oppertunity to actually be within touching distance (hell you could smell the leather) of some of my favourite pairs of designer shoes. Typically I get my heel fix by scouring the internet, but the Shoe Galleries are really unique in that the shoes range from high street labels like Office and Topshop, to the high fashion high heels of Louboutin and Jimmy Choo.

When I was a teenager I made a very clever move and made my relatively weathly Aunt/Godmother promise to buy me a pair of Jimmy Choo heels for a future birthday. It just so happens that my 21st birthday is coming up later this year so I think now is the time to decide on what special pair of heels I want. The only trouble is my allegiance has now swopped from Choo to Lou!
God I'm fickle.
